FedEx Testing New Electric Delivery Vans In London

It is becoming increasingly clear that delivery companies, like FedEx (NYSE:FDX) and UPS (NYSE:UPS), are working overtime to get new hybrid and electric vehicles integrated into their fleets.

Let's face it: It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the economic advantages of powering a van on electricity at $1.50 per gallon equivalent versus $3.50 or higher for gas or diesel. And that's why we've seen these companies get so aggressive on testing these new vehicles.

Right now, FedEx is actually testing an electric van manufactured by Nissan. It's currently running laps in London where video crews are documenting the vehicle's progress. Check it out. . .
